Obverse description A three-quarter portrait vignette of the Renaissance master Tiziano Vecellio (Titian) occupies the left-center of the note, rendered in intaglio in warm brown tones against an architectural and landscape underprint. The numeral '20000' appears in large letterpress at upper right, accompanied by the written denomination 'LIRE VENTIMILA' and the clause 'PAGABILI A VISTA AL PORTATORE'. A circular heraldic seal of the Banca d'Italia, flanked by the facsimile signatures of the Governatore and Cassiere, is positioned at lower right.
