| Obverse description | The crowned Polish eagle — the national emblem of Poland — is depicted in high relief at the centre of the field, with wings spread and head facing right. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA runs along the upper periphery. Flanking the lower portion of the eagle are two naturalistically rendered leaves, one to the left and one to the right, integrating the coin's wildlife theme into the obverse design. Below the eagle, the date 2002 appears, with the denomination ZŁ 2 ZŁ inscribed at the bottom of the field. The mint mark MW is incorporated into the design. |
