| Additional information |
Włocławek's inclusion in the NBP's ongoing "Cities of Poland" series came as the municipality was navigating post-industrial decline — the city's chemical and paper industries, dominant through the communist period, had contracted sharply after 1989. The Nordic gold issues in this series were never intended for circulation and were sold directly to collectors, which is why nearly all survivors are found in original packaging without a trace of handling.
