| Obverse description | The Polish state emblem, a crowned white eagle with wings displayed and talons extended, occupies the central field. Flanking the lower portion of the eagle, decorative plant leaves extend to either side, integrating the heraldic motif into a naturalistic setting characteristic of the Polish Animals series. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the upper rim, while the date 2006 appears beneath the eagle's talons, and the denomination ZŁ 2 ZŁ is inscribed in the lower field.
