Obverse description The Polish state emblem — a crowned white eagle with wings displayed, rendered in high relief — occupies the central field, flanked at lower left and right by stylized plant leaves that form part of the coin's decorative design. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the upper rim in Latin characters. The date 1998 appears in the lower field beneath the eagle, with the denomination ZŁ 2 ZŁ inscribed below it near the bottom rim. The mint mark of the Mint of Poland (MW) is incorporated within the design.
