| Reverse description | The reverse depicts two athletes rowing a double scull on stylized water in the lower portion of the field, rendered with fine line detail to convey motion and athleticism. Above the rowers, a central square cartouche features the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games emblem incorporating the Olympic rings, flanked by the legend POLSKA to the left and REPREZENTACJA OLIMPIJSKA to the right within a horizontal band. The upper field is filled with an elaborate decorative landscape of stylized rolling hills and waves rendered in a distinctly Chinese artistic idiom, with a floral motif at the upper left. The inscription PEKIN 2008 arcs prominently along the upper rim above the scenic design. The composition as a whole commemorates the participation of the Polish Olympic team at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. |
