Obverse description The obverse features the crowned Polish eagle — the national emblem — displayed with wings spread, rendered in high relief at the centre of the field. The circumferential legend reads RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA, arcing along the upper periphery. The date 2005 is inscribed in two parts flanking the lower portion of the eagle, with the mint mark of the Mint of Poland (MW) visible beneath the eagle's tail feathers. The denomination 2 ZŁ appears prominently in the lower field, framed by decorative dot-and-dash border elements encircling the inner rim.
