| Obverse description | The Polish state emblem — a crowned white eagle displayed with wings spread, talons clutching, rendered in high relief — occupies the central field. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the upper periphery, while the date 2004 is divided on either side of the eagle's lower body, flanked by decorative dot ornaments. The denomination numeral 2, with the currency abbreviation ZŁ appearing on each side, is prominently struck in large characters along the lower field. The mint mark MW of the Mint of Poland appears discreetly within the design. |
