Additional information

Montserrat's 2007 pattern coinage was produced in the wake of the 1995 Soufrière Hills volcanic eruption, which destroyed Plymouth — the island's capital — and displaced the majority of the population. The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank continued issuing standard OECS coinage for Montserrat, making any locally-specific pattern issue a curiosity with no path to circulation.

The "Xeros Ceros" denomination exists nowhere in any adopted monetary schedule for the territory.
