| Reverse description | A bold cross of the Military Order of Christ occupies the central field, its arms extending to the inner border. The four quadrants formed by the cross contain the four digits of the date, reading '1-6' on the upper portion and '8-8' on the lower portion. A 'D' exchanger mark is displayed on the cross itself. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle and a toothed outer rim consistent with hammered coinage production. |
