Reverse description The Bavarian royal coat of arms is displayed at centre, consisting of a quartered shield bearing the Rhenish Palatinate lion and the Bavarian lozengy pattern, surmounted by a royal crown. Two rampant lions serve as shield supporters, each crowned, standing on a decorative plinth with scrollwork below. The mint year appears in the exergue beneath the plinth. The circular legend around the upper and lateral field reads 'ZWEI VEREINSTHALER * XV EIN PFUND FEIN', separated by a small ornamental device. A toothed border frames the entire design.
