The King is depicted in military uniform with epaulettes, decorations, and a cross order at his breast, while the Queen wears a lace veil and jewelled bodice. A continuous circular legend surrounds the effigies, reading IOHANN KOENIG AMALIE KOENIGIN V. SACHSEN, separated by a decorative foliate cartouche at the base. The rim is bordered by a finely executed dentillated border. |
