| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of Frederick William IV, King of Prussia, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and short sideburns. The truncation of the neck is cleanly cut, resting above the mint mark 'A' (Berlin) positioned at the base of the field. The encircling legend reads FRIEDR. WHLM. IV KOENIG V. PREUSSEN, interrupted at the base by the mint letter, all contained within a plain inner border and an outer dentilated rim. |
