| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing bust of Emperor Francis Joseph I rendered in high relief, with finely detailed hair tied at the nape with a ribbon. The portrait is executed in the classical Neoclassical style after the dies of Josef Daniel Böhm. The encircling legend reads FRANZ JOSEPH I.V.G.G.KAISER V.OESTERREICH, with the Vienna mint mark 'A' positioned in the lower field beneath the truncation. A beaded inner border frames the design. |
