Obverse description Central field bears a four-line Arabic legend within a dotted inner circle, enclosed by a wreath of oak and olive branches tied at the base with a ribbon. The inscription reads 'al-Sultan Naser al-Din Shah Qajar' with the date AH 1310 and mint name Tehran, rendered in fine calligraphic Naskh script. The wreath is finely detailed with naturalistic foliage and terminates at the bottom in a decorative ribbon bow. The entire design is surrounded by a beaded border. The overall style is characteristic of late Qajar royal portraiture coinage.
