Reverse description A large willow tree dominates the central field, its branches dramatically swept to one side by a violent thunderstorm; lightning bolts strike the tree from above. Village buildings and church steeples are depicted on either side of the tree at ground level, evoking a landscape scene rendered in fine engraving. In the upper field, within a radiate glory, appears the Hebrew Tetragrammaton (יהוה, YHWH), representing the divine name Jehovah. The Latin motto legend encircles the composition in the outer border, expressing the personal device of Landgrave William VI.
