| Reverse description | Central field features two crossed ceremonial lances or batons with pennants, arranged diagonally in saltire, the date 1627 inscribed in the four quarters formed by the cross. Four heraldic cartouches are placed at the cardinal points: at top, a rampant lion; at left, a rampant lion on a beaded shield; at right, a five-pointed star above a landscape on a beaded shield; at bottom, a shield bearing a star and landscape motif. The composition is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with the outer legend reading CONSILI: ET • VIRTU: MONETA • NOVA • IMP:, referencing the motto 'By Counsel and Valor' and identifying this as a new imperial-weight coin. |
