Obverse description Central field depicts the ornate armorial shield of Lucerne flanked by Saint Leodegar to the left in full episcopal regalia with mitre and crosier, and Saint Maurice to the right in armour bearing a lance with banner, each accompanied by a putto at their feet; the twin towers of the Collegiate Church of Saint Leodegar rise in the background. The date 1702 appears in the lower exergue, and the Latin legend runs along the outer border within a beaded rim.
