Obverse description Three conjoined busts facing right, each crowned with an ornate imperial crown, representing Holy Roman Emperors Maximilian I, Charles V, and Ferdinand I in succession. The busts are rendered in high relief with finely detailed drapery and crown ornamentation. A circular beaded inner border frames the design. The surrounding legend reads: MAXI·I·CARO·V·ET·FERD·D·G·ROM·CAS·REG·HISP.
