Obverse description Within an inner beaded border set on a square klippe flan, a displayed eagle with wings spread faces left, its body rendered in fine detail with feathered plumage; the mintmaster's initials G and H flank the eagle in the field to either side. The circular legend runs along the upper arc above the eagle. A horizontal line divides the lower field, beneath which a two-line inscription bearing the date 1742 appears in a cartouche-like exergual area, all enclosed within the beaded border.
