Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing effigy of Frederick William III, King of Prussia, rendered with fine curling hair and naturalistic portrait style characteristic of early 19th-century German coinage. The bust is truncated at the shoulder and positioned centrally within the coin's field. A circular legend surrounds the portrait, reading FRIEDR. WILHELM III KOENIG V. PREUSSEN, with the mint mark A appearing below the bust truncation at the base. The overall style reflects the neoclassical engraving tradition of the Berlin Mint.
