| Obverse description | Armored bust of Ferdinand III facing right, wearing a ruffled lace collar and elaborately engraved cuirass with pauldrons, his hair curling naturally. The effigy is centered within a broad, finely detailed wreath of laurel branches that frames the entire inner field. The surrounding Latin legend reads: FERDINANDVS III D G HVNG BOHEMIAE REX, distributed around the inner border of the wreath. The high-relief portrait is executed in the robust early Baroque hammered style characteristic of Prague Mint production of this period. |
