Obverse description Armored half-length bust of Elector Christian II facing right, wearing elaborately decorated Renaissance plate armor with a prominent gorget and pauldrons, his curled hair visible beneath a ruffled collar. A heraldic shield appears at lower left beside the figure. The date is inscribed in the field to the left of the bust. The encircling Latin legend reads CHRISTIAN II D G SA ROM IMP ARCHIM ET EL, identifying the elector by name and title within a beaded border.
