Obverse description Two armored counts on horseback facing one another, their mounts rearing over a dragon or basilisk beneath their hooves, rendered in high relief in the baroque style. The figures wear full plate armor with plumed helmets, each bearing a sword or baton of command. A crown surmounts the space between the two riders at the top of the field. The encircling legend in Latin reads COMI:E:DOMI::IN:MANSFE:NOB:D:I:H:, identifying the ruling lords of Mansfeld.
