Reverse description The crowned and draped coat of arms of the Principality of Reuss occupies the central field, supported on either side by rampant lions acting as heraldic supporters, the whole surmounted by a princely crown above a richly worked ermine-lined mantle. The quartered shield displays the dynastic arms in fine engraved detail. The circumferential legend, divided by small rosette stops, reads 2 THALER VII EINE F. MARK 3½ GULDEN above and VEREINS MÜNZE with the date 1847 below, all within a beaded border.
