Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of Friedrich, Prince and Regent of Baden, rendered in high relief with finely engraved hair and a prominent moustache and beard. The truncation of the neck is clean and unadorned. The engraver's signature BALBACH appears in small letters below the bust in the lower field. The surrounding legend reads FRIEDRICH PRINZ UND REGENT VON BADEN, positioned along the inner edge of the toothed border.

Reverse description Central shield bearing the arms of Baden, crowned and draped with an ornate mantle, suspended from the chain of the Order of the House of Zähringen.
