Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of Friedrich August II, King of Saxony, rendered in high relief with finely detailed wavy hair. The royal effigy is centrally placed and occupies the majority of the field. The circular legend reads FRIEDRICH AUGUST V.G.G. KOENIG V. SACHSEN, distributed around the periphery within a toothed border. The mint mark G appears in the lower exergue beneath the truncation.
