Obverse description Central field displays the elaborately mantled civic arms of Halberstadt — a quartered shield bearing a diagonal band over a scaled or latticed field — surmounted by a crested helm with acanthus-scroll mantling. The arms are set within a raised inner circle, surrounded by a circular legend in the outer band. The milled border is visible at the coin's edge.
