Obverse description Square klippe flan bearing the provincial name ZEELANDIA arranged across three horizontal lines in the central field, with the Middelburg mint mark (castle) above, flanked by a star on each side. The date appears in the lower portion of the field. The inscription is rendered in capital Latin letters without a surrounding border legend, presenting a stark, typographic composition characteristic of Dutch provincial emergency or presentation coinage of the early seventeenth century.
