| Obverse description | Denomination '2 : S' struck in large raised numerals and letters within a roughly rectangular pearled border. The figures are boldly rendered in the primitive hammered style characteristic of Javanese emergency coinage, with uneven relief across the copper flan. The pearled inner border is visible along the lower edge, framing the denomination inscription within the field. |

| Additional information |
These pieces were struck under Louis Bonaparte, who ruled the Kingdom of Holland from 1806 to 1810 after his brother Napoleon installed him on the Dutch throne. Louis proved a genuinely conscientious administrator — too conscientious, in Napoleon's view — and his efforts to protect Dutch commercial interests repeatedly brought him into conflict with the Continental System. Napoleon forced his abdication in July 1810 and annexed Holland outright.
Colonial copper from this window is scarce precisely because the political disruption shortened the issue's production run to under four years.
