| Obverse description | Interlaced crowned cypher of Clemens August of Bavaria, Archbishop-Elector of Cologne, rendered as the conjoined monogram CAC (Clemens Augustus Coloniae) in elaborate script, surmounted by an electoral princely crown with arched bands and orb. The monogram occupies the central field, flanked by foliate or heraldic decorative elements. The design is executed in the Baroque style typical of mid-18th century ecclesiastical coinage of the Holy Roman Empire. No peripheral legend appears on the obverse. |
