| Obverse description | Central quartered shield bearing the arms of Guelders — each quarter filled with rampant lions — set within a beaded inner circle. The shield is of a squared form with a slightly pointed base. A crown mark initiates the surrounding circular legend, which is rendered in Gothic uncial characters and reads the full ducal title. The overall style is consistent with late 15th-century Netherlandish hammered silver coinage, with a slightly irregular flan typical of hand-struck pieces. |
