Obverse description Central field depicts a heraldic lion rampant facing left, crowned with a small cross-topped crown, rendered in bold late-medieval style with detailed mane and claws. The lion stands upon a decorative horizontal bar dividing the central device from a plain exergue below. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with the circumferential legend in Gothic uncial lettering running between the beaded border and the irregular, toothed outer rim.
