| Reverse description | Central design features the crowned royal cypher of Christian V — an intertwined monogram of the letter C surmounted by the Danish royal crown — enclosed within an ornate wreath of laurel or palm branches tied at the sides. A crowned rampant lion, the heraldic lion of Denmark, stands within the lower portion of the wreath. The date 1670 is divided across the lower field on either side of the central device, with mint master's initials and mint mark appearing at the bottom of the coin below the wreath. The circular Latin legend PIETATE·ET IUSTITIA· runs along the periphery, separated by decorative stops, within a beaded border. |
