Obverse description Youthful draped and armored bust of Charles II facing right, crowned with a laurel wreath, presented in the child-king portrait style characteristic of his early reign. The date 1668 appears beneath the bust, divided by the Bruges mint mark (a lily fleur-de-lis). The circumferential legend in Latin runs along the coin's periphery, identifying the king as ruler of the Spains and the Indies.
