| Obverse description | Veiled and draped bust of Empress Maria Theresa facing right, rendered in fine baroque relief with elaborate coiffure visible beneath the widow's veil. The effigy displays a mature portrait with lace-trimmed décolletage and drapery at the truncation. The circumferential legend in Latin is separated from the toothed border by a raised inner rim, reading continuously around the field. |

| Reverse description | A crowned oval escutcheon bearing the quartered arms of Austria and Burgundy is superimposed upon a Burgundian cross with fire-steels at its extremities. The mint mark appears below the shield in the lower field, while the date is split by the legend running along the lower arc. The whole composition is framed by a continuous Latin inscription and a toothed outer border consistent with the milled coinage of the Brussels mint. |
