Obverse description Central device depicts a tall palm tree flanked at its base by two recumbent llamas facing inward, all set upon a ground line with foliage. Nine five-pointed stars are distributed around the central device, interspersed within the circular legend. The peripheral legend reads REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA, with the mint mark PAZ, denomination 2S, assayer initial F, and date 1854 arranged around the lower portion of the field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
