| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Simón Bolívar facing left, adorned with a wreath tied with a ribbon at the back of the head, occupying the central field. The truncation bears the name BOLIVAR incuse within a rectangular cartouche at the base of the bust. The surrounding legend reads LIBRE POR LA CONSTITUCION, disposed along the inner edge of a finely reeded border, with the legend interrupted by the bust itself at left and right. |
