Obverse description Crowned royal shield bearing the arms of Denmark, set within a raised inner circle. Small pellets or ornaments may appear flanking the shield on either side. The design is rendered in the crude hammered style typical of emergency wartime coinage, with the crown rising above the shield into the field.

Reverse description The denomination and date are inscribed in three horizontal lines within a raised inner circle, reading II SKILLI and the last two digits of the year. The numeral II appears in the upper line flanked by rosettes or pellets, SKILLI occupies the central line, and the date digits fill the lower line, all rendered in bold Roman capital letters characteristic of Danish hammered coinage of the 1560s.
