| Obverse description | Crowned, flat-topped heraldic shield bearing the arms of Denmark, occupying the central field. On variety KM# 189.1 the shield is enclosed within an inner circle, while on KM# 189.2 it stands freely in the field without an enclosing circle. A circular legend in Latin runs around the periphery, invoking the royal title and the king's name. |
