Obverse description Central field bears the interlaced royal cipher of Frederik III — a crowned, intertwined 'F3' monogram in bold relief — surmounted by an elaborate royal crown with fleur-de-lis finial. The monogram is formed by the conjoined letters F and a mirrored 3, creating a symmetrical decorative device. A circular Latin legend runs along the coin's periphery, bordered by an inner beaded ring. The design is executed in a robust, slightly archaic style typical of mid-seventeenth-century Danish coinage.
