| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the large crowned royal cipher of Christian V, rendered as an interlaced script 'C5' monogram surmounted by an elaborate royal crown with fleur-de-lis finial. The date is divided on either side of the cipher, reading '16' to the left and '94' to the right. The monogram is deeply struck and occupies nearly the full diameter of the flan, executed in a bold Baroque style characteristic of late 17th-century Danish coinage. |
