Obverse description The complete coat of arms of Uganda occupies the central field, featuring a shield charged with a traditional Ugandan drum and a rising sun, supported on the dexter side by a Uganda kob (antelope) rampant and on the sinister side by a grey crowned crane. Two crossed spears rise behind the shield, and a decorative floral compartment forms the base. A scroll at the foot of the arms bears the national motto FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY. The legend BANK OF UGANDA arcs across the upper field, flanked by two raised dots at mid-height, while the denomination TWO SHILLINGS curves along the lower field.
