| Obverse description | At center, the State emblem of Israel — a menorah flanked by olive branches — is set within a geometric composition of intersecting circles rendered in low relief. The trilingual legend ISRAEL / ישראל / اسرائيل appears in the field, inscribed in Latin, Hebrew, and Arabic scripts respectively. The face value 2 SHEQALIM / שקלים מ is positioned along the lower portion of the design, with the secular year 1985 and the Hebrew date התשמ״ה also present. The mint mark of the Staatliche Münze Baden-Württemberg (מ) is incorporated into the design. The overall composition is executed in a modern, geometrically stylized manner characteristic of Israeli commemorative coinage of the period. |
