| Obverse description | Royal Persian inscription in flowing Nasta'liq script occupying the central field, reading the royal devotional legend attributing servitude to the Shah of sainthood (Husayn). The mint name Yerevan (Iravan) and the regnal date 1128 AH appear within the legend. The flan is irregularly rectangular with slightly uneven edges characteristic of hammered coinage, and the raised lettering is bold and deeply struck across the surface. |
