| Obverse description | Densely inscribed field bearing the Shi'ite kalima in Arabic script, reading 'There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God, Ali is the Friend of God,' followed by the names of the Twelve Imams arranged in a continuous legend filling the entire coin surface. The calligraphy is executed in a bold, intertwining nastaʿliq-influenced style characteristic of Safavid hammered coinage. No central motif is present; the inscription serves as the sole decorative and devotional element. The irregular flan gives the legends an organic, asymmetric distribution across the field. |
