Obverse description Central device depicting the Bolivian national arms: the Cerro Rico de Potosí mountain in the central field, surmounted by a radiant sun above the summit. A llama stands to the left of the mountain and a sheaf of grain appears to the right, all set upon a ground line. A row of five six-pointed stars is arranged along the lower arc of the design. The peripheral legend REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA runs along the upper rim, with the mint mark PTS, denomination 2S, date, and assayer initials disposed in the lower field and legend. The coin exhibits a reeded border throughout.
