| Reverse description | Central shield bearing the eight-pointed cross of the Order of St. John, surmounted by the Grand Master's crown, all within a beaded inner circle. The shield is flanked by two symmetrical branches of olive and laurel, crossed at the base and tied with a ribbon, framing the central device in a decorative wreath composition. A small eight-pointed Maltese cross ornament appears at the base of the wreath. The date 1796 is inscribed in the upper field, divided by the crowned shield, while the denomination S • 2 (Scudi 2) appears in the lower exergue beneath the crossed branches. |
