| Obverse description | Central ornate cross pattée with fleur-de-lis terminals set within an inner circle, flanked in each angle by a cherub head with outspread wings rendered in high relief. Additional foliate and flame motifs fill the remaining angles, lending the design a richly Baroque character. The circular legend is separated from the central device by a beaded border, with a further dentilated outer rim encircling the entire coin. |
