Reverse description The reverse presents a full-length standing figure of Saint Paul, patron saint of Münster, depicted in bishop's vestments with a nimbus, holding a sword in his right hand and a book in his left, consistent with his traditional iconographic attributes as Apostle and martyr. The date 1640 is split and placed in the field to either side of the figure's lower body. A circular Latin legend surrounding the figure reads S PAVL APO PATR MONA, identifying the subject as Saint Paul, Apostle and Patron of Münster. The engraving style reflects the provincial German Baroque craftsmanship of the period.
